One of Turkey's most significant priorities in the medium and long-term for science and technology is automotive technologies. In the automotive industry and areas requiring special production, servo presses have become widely preferred in recent years for metal forming due to their flexibility, simplicity of design, ease of control, high speed, and low energy consumption.

Servo press technology combines the advantages of hydraulic and traditional mechanical presses without their disadvantages. However, design phases and proper motor selection are critical in terms of precision and cost-effectiveness. Although there are servo presses with various mechanisms in our country, there are insufficient machines to compete in the international market.

To meet the intense demand from customers, Hürsan Pres decided to initiate this project. The study aims to design and manufacture a prototype mechanical servo press that can be used for metal forming. At the project's conclusion, the company will gain a design and manufacturing guide for mechanical servo presses, which will also be added to the company's product catalog.

The project output, a servo press with high technical specifications and low cost, will address the needs of the metal forming industry, primarily the automotive sector, and stand out in domestic and international markets. This innovative, eco-friendly, and highly competitive project outcome, expected to provide high added value, will enhance Hürsan Pres' efficiency, revenue, and competitiveness.
